Student and School Registration

The Canadian Cyber Defence Challenge (CCDC) is a competition that promotes the study and awareness of Information Technology (IT) and Security in schools across Manitoba and Canada. The competition is open to high school and post secondary students with an appetite for computers or a thirst to learn.

Challenge Overview:

The Canadian Cyber Defence Challenge is designed to help and inspire the next generation of students to develop an interest in and love for Information Technology and Computer Science. Students who participate in The Challenge will gain vital academic and life skills, including time management, goal-setting, teamwork, ethics and communications. Besides being fun and a great way to socialize with peers, The Challenge provides students with hands-on training to develop key IT foundation skills such as networks, servers, and security!

In collaboration with Epic (A Bell MTS Company) as part of their Epic Technology Expo.

Team Composition

Students are invited to work in teams of four or five and schools are encouraged to submit more than one team. Special requests can accommodated for individual registrations.

Technical Requirements:

User devices must have one of the following operating systems:

  • Linux with Gui
  • macOS or OSX El Captain or newer
  • Microsoft Windows 7/10 Home, Pro, Enterprise

Examples of operating systems that DO NOT qualify:

  • Chromebooks or Chrome OS
  • Windows 10 S
  • Android (tablets or phones)
  • iOS (iPhones or iPads)
Registration and Payment

Step 1: Register your school's team(s) by completing the Registration Form below.

Step 2: Submit team registration payment either by cheque or through Eventbrite. Details below the registration form.

Please note that your team(s) will not be officially registered until payment has been received - either by cheque or online via CCDC Eventbrite. A confirmation notice will be emailed with a link for payment details.
